My boyfriend and I have been dating for nearly 3 months now. He has come to my house several times and vice-versa.

Would you find this rude:
My mother saved a chicken sandwich for my father (dad was at work). My boyfriend just opened the fridge and freezer. He ate the sandwich without even informing us and served himself ice-cream (our ice-cream). My mother is starting to dislike him and thinks that was very rude. She's also noticing that he comes with good fancy things for himself and doesn't get me anything nor shares (just like with the ice-cream... all for himself).

I was shocked to be honest. Then he went on explaining to my mother about how he once gave a golden bracelet to one of his ex gfs, even told her the girl's name. My mother responded with an ''But you're dating my daughter aren't you?''. He said yes and she switched the topic. Wow seems like he has no common sense idea. He gave me nothing for Christmas while I gave him a good perfume. I'm a giving person and like sharing but he isn't doing that.
My mother has been slightly criticizing about him to her close friends. No wonder. What girls' mother is going to like what he's doing?

You should be direct and confront the situation.
Tell him point blank he cannot do that and this is their home and he needs to ask before he starts taking food.
If he doesn't stop he shouldn't be welcomed back into the home.

Unfortunately his dad sadly died shielding him from gunshots. He was only 3 years old at the time and can't remember it. It was his mother that shared with me that sad story. The lady dated but never remarried.

Nope I didn't. I only ate what was offered to me. His mother offered me cookies and another day she offered me one of her homemade tamales. That's a big difference than opening someone's fridge and eating whatever you want, when it's not even offered to you and you not even asking.

The first 2 times but after what he did, we don't offer him anymore. He got trusting to the point of disrespect.

I am not supporting his behaviour that was over the line definitely but it's our responsibility to treat the guests as well.

Don't break up for such silly things educate him about the ethiquettes as you said his dad is not alive and his mom might have pampered him too much it's not a big thing he felt comfortable with you thinking you as family he took liberty.

Several people that have tragic stories or even comes from unstable childhood upbringings don't act that way. I'm actually going to have a serious discussion with him today it. I'll talk first before considering breaking up.
Another thing to point out is my mother is hardly wrong when she sees something isn't right. I have no doubts that she's looking out for my best interest. I'll keep in mind what she has told me about him.
