A lot of people are unhappy with themselves, don't like their own company, and can't understand how it's even possible for a single person to be happy. So people don't like or question what they don't understand. Which makes you "odd", "weird" or an outcast. And you MUST be unhappy and unfulfilled right? lol

Lots of it is religion or culture. My wife grew up die hard church girl thinking if she wasn't proposed to buy 19, she was doomed. Hindi girl i knew was in her 30s and single, said her family says she's "hopeless" and a "dishonor". Religion and culture kind of screw up people, actually.

Its just that it's not seen as normal. Honestly if you wanna be single, go ahead. Most people do ask why you are single, depending on the answer could you get some backlash. Of course theirs also your past and depending on what you did before could also get you some hate.

In essence, yes. We are human so there is something wrong in ALL of us. Either we haven't found the person who completes us, or we had to get rid of someone who was poisoning us. We aren't perfect, we don't have all the answers.

And let say they're mocking you that means there's something wrong with them. They're the bad person you should not give shits about it.

It's should be none of their business weather you're single or in relationship. If they still interfere in your life that means they don't have manners.

Sounds like someone intentionally trying to belittle you because you're in that state.

First know, why do people belittle anyone?

To feel better about themselves because they don't naturally feel good about themselves so they feel the need to belittle someone as soon as they get the opportunity. It's a clear sign of insecurity.

If someone makes less money than you, would you make him/her sorry his/her existence? I guess not I would never do that. Only person with extreme insecurity will do it.
