+1 yIt hurts.
I was in a LDR. Where it started out well, but I can sense it’s going down hill. I mean my Ex used to want to take my calls during his work time. That now he doesn’t want to be bothered and put his phone on silent. I’ve confronted him about how I feel like he doesn’t like me anymore. Which he denies, but actions speak louder than words. I keep justifying his actions that it’s “probably me.” Getting more insecure about myself. Like “how can I be better for him?” In the beginning he has told me to “better” myself and to work on my insecurities and self esteem. I began looking into the Bible and self help books 📚 on relationships and self esteem issues. Now he makes fun of me like I don’t need any “help” and he wants to take this relationship slow.
I give up. My gut is telling me “he’s not interested in you anymore.” So I ghosted him. It’s hard and I’m praying I get through it, so I could heal.00 Reply

Long distance relationships are hard and take a lot more open communication and understanding. You should bring it up to him - either when you meet or over video call when he can actually talk to you uninterrupted. If he seems to have a genuine reason and his words and body language match, then be a supportive partner. If not talk through how you feel. If his response is cold, it may be time to move on. At the end of the day, no matter how much it hurts, you cannot make someone genuinely love you. It takes effort from both. I would rather deal with the break up sooner rather than later. At least it would free you up for something or someone else. And do not go back to him unless the reason you moved on has been addressed.
wish you peace and happiness - with or without him!00 Reply

+1 yRealize that LDR's don't last, the whole thing was probably a fantasy from the beginning. He's either found someone local he's interested in or just realized that not seeing you, touching you, or doing things with you isn't really fulfilling,, nor is it a relationship. You should have known this day was coming, and here it is.

+1 yIf you long distance, how do you spend time together? Face time? To me that's not real time spent together... I wouldn't stay with someone who has to make up excuses to not spend time with me, but I mean a real in person relationship, because I wouldn't be in a long distance relationship in the first place
00 Reply1.3K opinions shared on Relationships topic. I had a LDR boyfriend and near the end he definitely lied often. He lied about having to go to a hockey game, a meeting, a dinner with family...
He was evasive af. That's his personality, still is, and always has been.00 Reply
+1 yBring the matter up to him, allow him to have an opportunity to clear the air. But if it still doesn’t feel right after you give opportunities to arise, then trust your gut that you aren't feeling fuffiled anymore and be on your way to self care and starting fresh. Remember if he tries to pull you back afterwards, you did give him a full fair chance even after he was already giving you cold shoulder! Stand your ground!

+1 yIts happened before. I told him he was creating even more distance between us and i was about that bullshit. If thats happening to you, you should breakup if he doesn't make a move soon. It doesn't mean he's cheating but he's also not putting in the same effort

Anonymous(30-35)+1 ySounds like a typical closet case. Dump him. Or maybe accept it since most men are gay and will treat you the same. Can’t really win in this situation.

+1 yConfront him. Communication is key part of a relationship, if he knows your worth then he’ll step up and do what he needs to do to keep the relationship going.

+1 yit is over unless you just want sex when you are in town. It is hard to maintain a relationship when you work on the road. Choose wisely , is she worth it? Can you put up with her having sex when you are gone?

Why’s it her responsibility to “recognize”, far too common where males don’t speak up and silently expect females to “recognize “ and coach the matter.
Opinion Owner+1 y@the29thhuman It's not her responsibility - but she's the one with the highest probability to have that skill set. Men often don't recognise their own emotional state.
