I think they can be a waste of time depending on the individual and the expectations of the relationship. For example; I think it’s a waste of time if a partner doesn’t have expectations of the relationship. Doesn’t expect to have a future, doesn’t expect commitment, doesn’t expect effort, etc. It’s a waste of my time…
