Regardless of the outcome, it's a good thing as it means it's out there now. Whether you'll feel good about it will come down to her reaction but at least you'll know where you stand and can start to move on if necessary.

You don't say how it was received, so I hope it works out, but while I'm sure people will be quick to say she doesn't owe you a relationship, remember you don't owe her a friendship either if that's not what you want. Don't feel you are obligated to stick around if it hurts you to do so.

Might work! I tend to think it's a needlessly risky strategy over just asking her out and hanging out and having great times and making moves. Because typically when you make a confession like that to a girl, it only works if she already likes you back almost as much as you like her. She doesn't have to like you that much to entertain a date with you where, over the course of dating and having a blast, might grow to like you as much as you like her.

Let's say she actually does like you back a lot, or even crushes on you as well. Then if you go with the safe bet of just asking her out, she'll probably very enthusiastically agree, you and two will probably hit off big-time over the dates and reveal your feelings for each other.

But suppose she only likes you back a little bit, and you confess your feelings to her. Now she might want to distance herself away from you even if she might have entertained a date offer.
