Let's say you love highly spiced food, yet your friend prefers bland food. You want to impress this friend, so you prepare all the spicy food you enjoy, believing your friend will also enjoy these items. Though your friend may tolerate the food and not be critical, the friend realizes you focus on what you want and assume others must enjoy the same thing.

You may enjoy tickling someone who doesn't like being tickled. Maybe someone likes silence, and you feel it is your responsibility to fill all voids with talking. Maybe you assume all guys like big breasts, so you have yours augmented, though maybe the guy you're with prefers natural. There are so many things people do for selfish reasons that they are totally unaware of. Never say "You like this, don't you." Always ask for and be considerate of the other person's feelings and preferences. You may like wearing makeup, yet your date may prefer little to no makeup. Never assume you know what is going on in another person's head, and never project your agenda onto others.

Well, if your name on gag is any indication you probably come off as a woman wanting power over others. The fact that you'd prefer to be pursued rather than do the pursuing also hints towards that Personality trait.
Men wanting power, status or just basic freedom would be less likley to pursue you, knowing as they do they'd have to compromise with what they want out of life.
