Why do people always avoid me?

So I started a new school in April, but I was really quiet I never really spoke to anyone outside my class. After school I just go home straight without talking to anyone but, I really wanted to change because I noticed I was too antisocial... so I started talking more to people in June I even made some new friends. But I noticed when I started talking more and being myself around people a lot of guys started to avoid me. They tend to look at me a lot so when I make I contact with them I just say hi because I feel it's rude to make eye contact with someone then look away but when I say hi they either ignore me or pretend they didn't hear.

well I'm not really sure but do guys hate girls that talk a lot and don't appear quiet?

I'm asking this because, I tend to talk a lot most times but not to the point where I interrupt people when they are talking to me... I listen when people talk to me but I get really excited, expressive and dramatic when talking. I was just thinking about this last night, I told myself I was just going to go back to being quiet cause being myself makes people avoid me. Don't get me wrong I have my quiet days when I don't really feel like talking but when I'm happy I get really expressive and people hate that.

Please I really need advice on this cause I don't know what to do.

It's because you're not use to talking and are still learning. My friends autistic as a kid everyone told him "shut up" "you're being annoying" and he learnt how to talk to people without hijacking the conversation and being obnoxious. I am not insulting you or anything I am just saying with social skills in your early 20s you will struggle a little, but you will improve slowly.

The reason my friend learnt it fast is because kids don't have a filter and they tend to be very disrespectful and say hurtful words. But in the adult world every likes to be polite to each other and won't say anything to you when you make a mistake because they want to be rude.

You can still do it, it's just going to be alittle slower and you're not autistic, so you'll pick up on things quicker than an autistic person in their 20s. So keep talking. You need to learn to communicate. Don't give up you'll get there.

My autistic friend talks like he doesn't even have autism you can't even tell anymore because of he learnt it over time.

In my experience, if you get confused, people always like talking about themselves. Fall back into asking others good questions, and just listen. People like those who listen too. It shows you care. And that always goes well.
