While I try to follow the advice of trying to improve myself, the honest answer as to how I cope is that I don't. It's led to depression, suicidal ideation and a general sense of worthlessness.

And all the advice from friends is pointless platitudes that it's not all that bad, and how great a person I am but with no-one wanting to step up and show me that I'm this great person they all say I am, I find it harder and harder to believe.

I have always either been in a relationship, or I have been dating and hoping to find a long term partner, and I have been fairly comfortable with that since my early 20's.

I'm not going to lie, sometimes I wish I had a boyfriend. However I happen to be mostly attracted to white guys and the ones from where I live are racist.
I already accepted the fact that I'll only be able to be in a relationship when I leave the country. It's impossible now.
Meanwhile I focus on other parts of my life.

Can cope by focusing on improving yourself mentally, spiritually and if possible physically. Once you're on this path those type of relationships automatically come to you, by choice or not.
