Boyfriend keeps correcting my spelling errors when I text him and doesn't call me pet names anymore. We are 4 months in. Why is he already cold?

It's on his degree not om. I'm joking obviously but he sounds like he is not happy with the control he has with where he is in his life. That's why he vents and tries to exercise control over things like your spelling errors. He probably to some extent is insecure about not having a degree yet and you do. Its hard to be sweet and considerate if he's not happy with himself first. If you care about him realize it has more to do with how he feels about him as opposed to how he feels about you. You may have to give him some positive reinforcements or if that seems unnecessary it may be time to move on. If you two care for each other communicate openly and try to see each other's perspective. Definitely don't argue about it or complain just chat with an open mind.

It's a bad sign, I would tell him that you guys need to talk. Tell him you're worried and want to talk. Be honest and straightforward as you can be comfortable with. If he likes you, he's going to want to make things work between you two.

I know it's probably going to take a lot of patience to listen to him explain why his friends coming over... Just don't let him bullshit you, stand up for yourself, please.

I feel like you need to have a conversation with him about what he needs from you so you can know if what's happening is him or you.

We usually hangout on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. He usually tells me he's excited to see me or he invites me over by Thursday. He hasn't mentioned not hanging out on Saturday, so am I overreacting? He may still want to hang on Saturday

It's as if chatting on the net. You aren't talking to the person in person. You can't feel the same amount of empathy towards whomever you're talking to. I don't know your situation, is it a long distance relationship or do the two of you just don't have the time to meet, but I'd really suggest you spend some time together, if both of you wish to pursue one another.
