Transitioning from friends to a relationship?

I have been working on a relationship with this guy for over a year now and I have been single for 5 years we finally made it official. before we made it official we have already been spending a lot of time together we are moving in together next month we already met each other’s children he has already told me he loved me

What’s going to change now that we are in a relationship and What should I be doing different now that we are officially together

That's something I always wanted to try but ALL of my past relationships in every category went straight from that first meet to passion, sex and girlfriend status within a matter of days or a couple of weeks. I really need to try that friend thing for like six months then graduate to the girlfriend stage.
