Would you be happy if your wife actually enjoyed going to games?

I love baseball in person games. On TV or on radio the game is boring as Frankfurter. But seeing a game live and in person.
I am one that stands ups cheers, yells and everything else.
You want someone to go with. Call me. My wife hates baseball to
I agree, the TV is boring. I do love going to the game. The green field, the fans smiling and enjoying themselves, the music which can sometimes be comical, the smell of all the different baseball food, being outside, etc.
I got my husband to go several times and sometimes it was a struggle to get him to stay through the end. One time our team was down 3 points, bottom of the 9th, bases were loaded, and wouldn't you know it... we hit a grand slam. The whole place was jumping and cheering. I said, "See! Baseball IS exciting!" He still can't agree. š¤¦
I'll go to a ball game and not care who is playing.
My state major team is the Brewers. I used to live a few blocks from Milwaukee Country Stadium

I love the old feel of the open stadium. When they built Miller Park stadium with the dome. It lost the feeling.
For the minors we have a few teams like the Wausau Woodchucks and Kenosha Kingfish. Watching the minors play, is like watching a ball game when Shoeless Joe Jackson played ball as an outfielder in the early part of the 1900s in the major's
Baseball is my game of love
So I dont care who playing ball, as long as the game is good
I definitely care who's playing, but I also love the minors games. I think I might like them even more than the majors.
I like the minors more myself. Your not paying for a million dollar contract or a new stadium with every 60 dollar ticket sale.
At least the minors you can still enjoy a great game for 7 bucks a ticket
Yes! Less expensive, easier parking, games seem more intimate, and occasionally a majors player fills in. It's easier to catch a ball and to get an autograph too.
Opps wrong post.
I'm talking on another GAG members question about baseball
Oh. Link? lol
Oh thank you very much for the MHO. I really enjoyed talking baseball with you
Sorry I didn't get back to you about the other person, but I fell a sleep at the computer desk
Haha! I have a tendency to doze off on gag too.
iām not a huge baseball fan but iād go with her to games if she wanted itās always a fun afternoon, now if she wanted to go to a football game iād be all about it 😍😂
I'd go to a football game. I can keep up and have fun, but I would prefer warmer weather.
Absolutely! I love major league baseball. I don't follow sports on TV anymore, but I love major league baseball. I played a lot of baseball when I was young and was good at it. I went to a lot of Dodger games in LA from the time I was a kid, and used to go to Angel's games in Anaheim for a couple of seasons with a friend who had season tickets. I went to a Reds game once in Cincinnati and a Giants game in San Francisco.
So I'd be more than happy to take my wife "out to the ball game", sit in the stands, and eat fun baseball food.
Does she like baseball too?
Would she go with you if you asked?
Sweet.
to be honest... I would be much happier if she could go without me, lmao... or with someone else who actually is into watching baseball games and is actually going to enjoy it and have a great time with her
I've only been to one professional baseball game, this with a friend of mine... she loves baseball, she's my friend so I was like sure, yeah... but I ended up trying to count every person in the stadium, one by one... so I spent about 40 minutes scanning at the distance... counting people one by one, row by row... section by section...
so yeah, watching baseball is just not for me
My husband gets bored too.
oh, I had good time... just not watching the game but other things... lol
what about others sports? maybe he's into them, have you been to games with him?
Yes, we've been. He doesn't care for sports.
couldn't you go out with friends, or relatives, family?
otherwise... just drag him with you, lol
Sadly, no.
what about going on your own? could that be a possibility?
it will be all baseball fans there, just like you... and then you might actually enjoy the game, and maybe get along with others in there
Good point.
The nearest MLB stadium to me in summer is Fenway Park, the second most expensive park in baseball. Parking anywhere close is $35, so I'd park outside the city for $5 and take the metro. The worst seats cost $60 each, so I'd end up watching the first few innings at one of the nearby bars and buying a ticket from a scalper who can't get rid of tickets and drops the prices. Maybe I'll get two for $60 then. Once inside, beers are $12 for 24 oz of shit beer, like Bud Light, etc. Fenway franks are $8, pizza is $6 a slice. Between the time it takes to get there, the cost, and the hassle, it's not worth it. I'd rather go see the minor league team nearby for $6 tickets, $6 beers and $4 hot dogs.
I agree, MLB games are not a cheap adventure.
I'm not into sports, but I'd have no problem with her going by herself or with some friends if she wanted to; we're not joined at the hip or anything (unless I've somehow wandered into a reality where you can marry your own Siamese twin).
You wouldn't accompany her anyway?
If she wanted me to, I suppose I would. It's not like I really DISLIKE it.
That's the spirit! š
Well, I'm not much of a sports fan, but I would accompany her on occasion.
We don't have baseball here, but my wife used to play volleyball and is involved in her old team, so I did accompany her to see the games.
Sweet
I've been to a few Dodgers games. They're fun. I'm not into MLB but I would go.
My wife could not share my passion for sailing. She would get violently seasick.
I love sailing! I bought a sailboat once and ended up having to get rid of it because I couldn't talk him into sailing either. š
Iām happy my girlfriend enjoys an occasional game, we go together.
when sheās not into it Iāll just go with friends instead
Nice!
Hell yeah. Love baseball and if my girl wanted to go to a game, I would get us home game tickets in a heartbeat.
If my husband loved baseball, I'd get him season tickets for Christmas. If only! lol
I dont like baseball at all but if she wants Ill take her or buy her and her friends tickets to go without me.
That's nice of you. My husband said no spending money on baseball games. š”
Yeah, that sucks
I like Nfl much more and its pretty much all I like with a little basketball every now and then
I like a lot of sports and could have fun at just about any live game. Baseball is my favorite though.
I can see myself having fun at just about any sports game just from the overall experience and atmosphere of the stadium, even if I dont enjoy whats on the field.
I find baseball to be unimaginably boring to watch, but I've never been to a live game. So I'd take her once to try, might be fun with her, but if I get bored to shreds it'll be a one time thing lol
Ok, I find it boring on T. V. too. My husband finds both versions boring though.
Not a baseball fan myself, but I always thought it would be a fun idea. So why not.
It is fun! š
I have never been a Baseball fan but if my wife wanted to go, I would take her because I love her and I want to make her happy.
Smart and sweet!
Im not a sports type, and i don't have a wife... but I would go to the baseball game and get some dippin dots..
Dippin Dots š If only it was that easy to talk him into going.
I've taken girlfriend to baseball games. We actually kissed for the first time at a game. We were in the storm shelter with everyone else because it was a rain delay. So the game wasn't ongoing.
Sounds like a lovely date.
Give-away Days are always fun.
Yes, We usually take in a couple of games every summer.
Yay! ā¤
We haven't either. I was online looking up tickets and my husband doesn't want me to buy tickets. š”š”š”
My SO and I like baseball. It's my favorite sport. Though her favorite sport is basketball, we plan on going to a few MLB games this season, now that things are back to normal.
I couldn't care less about sports.
But if it excited my wife I'd go to a game.
Ok. At least you're a good sport. š
They're not really my thing but at least it's something to go do right?
It is
Well we don't have baseball here, but I used to take my partner to the football here and we both had season tickets
Fun!
It certainly was
I would accompany her coz thats how a relationship works
Sweet
Iād take her but baseball is boring so I donāt care for it. Should be called napball because it makes me want to fall asleep.
I would totally take her! Especially since baseball isn't a very interesting sport to me (no offense), so that means I could focus all of my attention on her and I wouldn't have to worry about missing any of the game.
I could take or leave sports honestly. Iām not willing to invest time or resources in conforming to societal expectations without a valid reason.
If it wasn't for the driving part I'd happily take her
I mean I am not a fan of sports and the food their is way to costly so honestly I don't know, i mean if she's buying the food than sure
Baseball is not popular in my country.
Understood
Nope. I donāt go to stadiums. Especially when sports people are there. They seem to be most crass and unhygienic.
The chances of this happening are very slim in my lifetime.
Why?
I see. lol
Iāll take you the gameā¦.
Thank you!
I can't tell you because it would suggest my location.
American League
Reluctantly, but fine.
That's sweet that you'd still go.
