I've had two boyfriends I believe truly loved me. Especially the more recent one.
One clear thing is, that I could see it in their eyes. The way they looked at me.
And they would without a question make my life easier if they could.
One always helped pump my bike for example.

It wasn't just "I'm going to hang out with the guys so I can get away from the girlfriend and talk smack behind her back", I was invited when he was with his friends, they wanted me there, never afraid to show affection, etc.

I'd say you know they truly love you if they just want to do things with you and be around you when they can. It's really different with a lot of people because they show affection and admiration in different ways but, I feel like generally if they want to be around you a lot and seem genuinely happy when around you then they truly love you.

If they care about your feelings. People who love you care about the way you feel. They don't want to hurt you. They often will go out of their way to do things for you. If they love you then they won't try to fix you and change you into something you're not. Does this help?
