How can you tell if someone genuinely loves you?

I've personally never experienced a truly loving relationship. Only situation-ships. I honestly don't know what that kind of thing would even look like.

for those lucky few who have found love out there, what was it like"? how did things start? How do they treat you now? What does if feel like to have finally found love.

How did the things start?

It started as being just two strangers or just two good human being simply caring for eachother, spending time together and making other to feel ease, listening other's struggle and pain and giving comfort without having any expections in return.

What was it like?

It was nice, gradual, like two genuine people wanting best for eachother with some butterflies, excitement. Sometimes it was tough also but it was like test to our commitment and strength of our bond.

How they treat you now?

I'm important person for him. He likes my smiling face so if I'm having bad mood he does everything to make my mood good again. He try to make me smile again anyhow. He gives me all the attention I require and listen me if I have any complaints. He does try to improve himself for the better. He put all the efforts so that this relationship doesn't get boring for any of us we both. And yes absolutely he does love me and give me all respect.

What does it feels like to have finally found love?

It feels awesome. True happiness true satisfaction. Now it feels like now living life has a meaning. I was ok staying single forever but getting such kind love it feels like now my life has become more delicious.

You can never know for certain with a woman. It can be genuine or it can be one long con.

The best advice I can give is look for consistency. A woman who's just manipulating you will show her true colors at some point. Some women are very good at hiding who they truly are. And the older she is the higher the odds she much more adept at this game. But women have one achillies heel. They're emotional. So as much as she'll try to hide who she is if you are paying attention she will drop a red flag here and there. And at that point it's just a matter of pulling on that string and unraveling her entire game.

Consistency! A person who truly cares about shows it, not just says it.

I wonder about that too. I figure your best bet at a long relationship is to find someone you can call your best friend and even when you get serious keep that energy.

I think love is very simple. But doesn't mean that you're together for life. You can have loved someone and just because it didn't last didn't mean it wasn't love.

You can only recognize love being reflected if you love yourself first. The cliche is true...

I think I need to work on improving myself first. there's a lot of behaviors I've noticed in my everyday life that are just unacceptable. Working on being my best self is a form of self love to. because it's reminding my inner me that my goals matter more than anything.

Yes and that's good because it means you have introspection.

My friend mentioned the same and at the root of it appears to be a lack of love from their parents. They told me that once they realized how their Heavenly Father saw them, everything changed. The renewing of the mind that comes from scripture also changes that too.

If you look at the amount of people in therapy and how many self help books are being sold... you will see that it never gets to the core.

I don't believe in God, an if I did I know he wouldn't approve of my lifestyle. Is there a way I can practice this with out using delusion of fairytales.

I used to be a non believer (most of my life). I've already practiced all of it without acknowledgement of God! What I discovered was all of it was taken from the source, and watered down to discount God. But what then happens is you activate His spiritual laws and benefit. But once I went to the direct source, only then was my life was transformed!

You should check out the book 'The Power of Now' By Ekhart Tolle. It fits what you asked.

And by the way, what you call 'Delusion of Fairy-tales' is the same thing I've seen result in miraculous hearings, recovery of eye sight from cataracts and complete transformation of lives and healing of families. I am thankful every day that I did not remain as a non believer!

I'm glad thatwoked for you, but that doesn't mean it will work for others. As I said, I don't live a "christian" life. If I did, my body count would be zero, I would go to church every week and I wouldn't be in college, I would be raising a child.
I tried the whole "thoughts and prayers" thing and my life has only gotten worse. Unless God is vengeful and petty then he isn't real.

It can work for everyone because it is for everyone. A woman I know used to live a life of drugs, parties and promiscuity but is now a believer. Her body count is at a number she will never talk about with anyone. That lifestyle resulted in a very high body count, mental and physical damage, a feeling of unworthiness and she also has no children. But she is transformed now. She is now helping others. None of us can be perfect, that is why Jesus did it for us. After she got Baptized all of this stuff left her body...

Something I've come to understand is that when a persons life is getting worse, sometimes it is spiritual warfare and attacks from the enemy to keep you where you are. As long as the enemy can convince you that they are not real, they have you!

Some very simple examples. I've helped people who were getting bullied and harassed at jobs. They went to HR, had meetings for weeks and nothing changed. But after they went the spiritual route calling on God's protections and the authority that you have through prayer, all cases of harassment so far have ceased within 2 days.

When people are being bullied, threatened and harassed for weeks. But after a spiritual warfare prayer in the name of Jesus... all harassment ceases the next day, then they start to question their beliefs. I've seen this many times. But that is just a minor example of the things I've seen.

Simply put, you find out over time & different experiences where they will show with their actions how much they would do & sacrifice for you.

I thought I was the only one who couldn't find love. well, I think the love is something that you can find it when you are in a bad situation when you look for something. I don't know... it's like you need someone to rescue you or something?
