Why is my girlfriend upset that I won’t tell her what’s in my storage unit?

I absolutely won’t tell her for two reasons: first it’s not her business and two if she knew which personal things of mine are kept in it then she’d be upset

Why? Because women are nosey and have to know about every little detail and facet of your life. Why are you keeping something from her? Why? WHY?

It’s like Pandora’s box man. Women can’t help themselves. Don’t tell her whats in your storage unit. It could be nothing but baseball cards and and old books, it doesn’t matter. NOT KNOWING will fuck with her waaaaaay more than knowing. So I encourage you to let it drive her insane. Once in a blue moon one time while you’re together mention that you’ve got some chores and you’ve got to run by the storage unit. It’ll drive her crazy lol.

It drives her insane for sure. Sometimes I go to the rental and check on what I have in there. It’s at a 24/7 one so I can leave in the middle of the night if need be. If she ever found my unit and gets inside it will get messy

It’s not porn. It’s sentimental items that She doesn’t need to be concerned about. Plus when I go I want to have it pharaoh style where my most prized possessions sentimentality are buried with me

Besides it not being her concern it’s mementos that belonged to someone I was once with so I’d rather not have her see them. There are some I still keep but she doesn’t know that

It's perfectly within your right to do whatever you feel is best for you. Think of how you would feel if you were in her position. Being secretive and withholding information for whatever reason you deem valid is not putting her mind at ease and will most likely affect the rest of your relationship in a negative fashion

If she had a storage unit I literally could care less what she has in there. It’s not my place to know and if she ever wants to tell me about it then that’s fine. I’d never pry to know what’s in there. However she’s tried to break into it and that has me concerned and I’m less likely to tell her anything because it’s like walking on eggshells now with her and her “friend group”.

She doesn’t need to know. It’s a storage unit for crying out loud. Your personal stuff is yours. I mean unless you’re hiding bodies or a meth lab, she shouldn’t be concerned. Just while you’re out, pick up some tacos on the way home

Not trying to impede but maybe it’s time to break up or take a break? You don’t need to prove anything to her just by showing her that it’s your personal belongings. If she’s overreacting over this, I can only imagine how she’ll treat other similar situations. I can guarantee she wouldn’t like you snooping around her stuff unless she specifically said she didn’t care. As your partner, she should respect your space

This all started because of her friend that she lives with who likes to be in everyone’s business. This happened with my last official girlfriend in regards to her friend inserting herself into every aspect of my life. I’m honestly thinking about it. I’m curious if maybe she had a bad partner at one point and she doesn’t like secrets because of what this one guy did so now I’m going to have to talk to her about that
