I'm mixed with Native American (Cherokee Indian), African American, and Japanese on my father's side.
I'm not either "for" them or "against" them. What a couple wants to do is their business. I suppose I could say that there are enough problems newlyweds will face without the added burden of explaining the various melanin levels in their family, but that's not my call: it's up to the couples getting married to weigh the plusses and minuses of each other and their potential future together.
What DOES bug me is the obvious fact that the makers of commercials in the last 6-8 months- from Domino's Pizza right on down the line- have been deliberately using inter-racial couples in commercials and cramming this down everyone's throats, like it or not. I love discovering differences about others and embracing those discoveries : the government and corporate America do NOT have to shove in my face 24/7. The government cannot legislate acceptance and respect.

I'm white, my ex is black, but regarding race... Honestly people underestimate what it takes to make a different race, the neanderthals are a different race of humans, but the same species. Everyone you've ever meet is the same race. Think dogs. Dogs and wolves are *maybe* different species. (Humans and say chimps or some more distant hominids) A German Shepherd and a Yorkshire terrier is different races (think humans and neanderthals). The difference between modern humans is essentially like two dogs with different fur colours. *Maybe* you can compare it to different terriers, so Yorkshire terrier vs cairn terrier, but that's stretching it...
We're so much more alike then different. Even with chimps we're like 97% the same genes or something like that...
You're welcome. :-) Basically humans almost went extinct during a ice age, so there's *very* little genetic diversity among us. And there's even less among those of us who decend from those who left Africa. We *did* mix with neanderthals and other races like that, so those of us outside Africa isn't entirely restricted to the genes we brought with us out, but still...
A few of my aunts and uncles have married outside their race. I don't have a problem with it. I live in a country with a large number of unconscientious racists, where interracial relationships are frowned upon by the older folks. I believe only racists would be against something (interracial relationships) that does not even affect them whatsoever.
I'm FOR interracial relationships. I don't mind what others do with their personal lives. It's none of my business. If they have the same values, views and truly love each other, why should race matter? Besides, it creates more genetic diversity which is good for the population.
For it. Because I'm attracted to various races and find it interesting meeting people with differences and similarities. My 2 favorite romantic historical accounts are: 1) Clarence King (who was not the only man to do this) a white man who pretended to be black (showing just how intelligent the one-drop rule was) so he could marry a black woman. 2) The German Prisoner of War who met a black American nurse during world war and told her he would marry her... at the time of Nazi movement and interracial marriages were illegal.
It shows the powerful motivation of love which knows no race.
I'm definitely in favor of dating/marriage/play; anything between races. It's sad that in 2022, the question is worthy of discussion. I've been lucky enough to have had two experiences:
The first, a cutie from India picked me up at a party. We slept together that night and dated afterwards. I enjoyed her company, sense of humor, intelligence and the sex. In truth, I was immature and let the relationship fizzle.
The other time, I hooked up with a black woman. We dated on and off for months. We never really had an emotional bond. Shared some interests but not enough to progress beyond the sex we enjoyed.
I'm struggling to formulate an intelligent question. I'm wondering when is it inappropriate to date interracially? How do you recognize fetishization? It isn't too different to being attracted to a particular body type. Or is it?
I'm for people being happy, rather than unhappy, because I have this possibly crazy belief that happy people are much nicer to other people, so I don't really care much about how people get to be happy--as long as there's no nastiness involved--and that includes loving whoever they love, as long as they love them.

I had a few dates and they made me realize that they might be decent guys, we were just too different how we saw the world. It's just not for me. But everyone is free to date whoever they want. The only time I judge is when I see really fat white women with black guys who you can hear they just recently came to the UK.
Doesn't bother me one bit. Why stick with such archaic ideologies. I have been in two interracial relationships. I'm a white male and have dated a Native American female. The mother of my son is mixed Father's from Niger in Africa and her mom from England. So my son is 25% African, 25% English, 25% Italian and 25% Irish.
I think a few individuals want to have a relationship there yesterday really shouldnāt be a big factor. More important factors are personal beliefs, perhaps religion and family values. My husband and I are both Caucasian, but I donāt think either of us would have an issue if that werenāt the case and we were different ethnicities.
As long as both spouses are respectful of one another's culture then I have no problem with it. Sometimes, I've seen one partner not adopt some of the culture of the one they're in a relationship with. That's ridiculous.
I'm in an interracial marriage. I'm Irish and my wife is Lebanese and half Persian. My wife loves learning about my Celtic heritage. I became fluent in her Arabic language so that I could speak with her family and become engrained in her culture.
For. I am not allowed to dye but I would love to date a cute boy from any background. My parents are super conservative but they arenāt racist and they have always said to judge people by their character not their appearance. That said, I think appearance is important in relationships because you need to find the other person attractive but that shouldnāt have anything to do with skin color and if it does you should probably take a time out and think about why you are racist.
I've dated outside my race/ethnicity once so far and I'm fine with it. There is a learning curve and lots of things I didn't have the opportunity to experience or hash out due to the relationship being incredibly short lived. I prefer dating Black Women for a number of reasons but I don't and have never excluded anyone based on ethnicity or "race"

There is beauty and ugliness in all races. Iāve dated outside my race, and would do so again if anything happened to my marriage. I donāt see race as a determine factor, whether as a fetish or a turn off. At the end of the day most of us are just trying to make it through life, and itās better with company. The people who fetishize or racially antagonize are statistical outliers and can safely be ignored.
I'm white, I wouldn't mind dating a girl of a different race. I feel like most people have the cultural differences that can be problematic so i'd say interracial relationships are also intercultural relationships. in my opinion both sides have to have most of the same core values in a relationship.
I'm for it. Only person it should matter to is you and your partner.
I have and it's always been an overwhelmingly good experience overall. There are still several races I'd be interested in dating that I haven't had the opportunity. Participating in someone else's culture and learning from them and their families stories and experiences is so fulfilling. Then the subtle differences you notice in how the opposite sex flirt and seduce always fun and interesting
I have never had an interracial relationship of any kind. Not by choice just never met anyone that I clicked with. I'm not pro or against. It's whatever works for the people involved.
I'm married so it's not likely to ever happen but I would if single and I found the right person.
I have never dated outside my race, but I don't have a problem doing it. I just didn't ask out anyone outside my race. Granted I can count thr number of people I asked out on one hand (with fingers left over) so it probably has more to do with the number of people I have asked out more than a racial preference. I know I have found women of almost every race attractive.
I'm all for interracial relationships, plus all my past boyfriends have been white, Asian, and a couple have been Hispanic. It shouldn't matter as long as you and the person click/really like each other then they should date. Plus it's 2022
I've been dating/in relationship with a few guys who are not my race, never really have a problem with that, not even culturally. If things didn't work out it was the guy himself, not his race 🤣 So yes, i'm definitely for.
While you are absolutely correct i think we're discussing the artificial 18th+ century social construct of race rather than speciation. Race as a social construct shouldn't be so easily reinforced and yet here we are, on a planet where the history of this social construct shapes societies that are hopefully recovering
I don't see a reason personally to think about race in a relationship. If two people are like minded, love each other, and have common goals, life will be a little easier. Interracial relationships will face prejudices which will potentially stress the relationship. The relationship will need to be strong. My mix is quite diverse.. Scottish, Irish, Swedish, African, Native American, Norwegian..

@yourmancallsme oh I couldnāt agree more. I saw some statistic online (I don't know if itās true but I wouldnāt be surprised) where it showed a clear distinction between these interracial couples. White men and black women relationships would last but not the other way aroundā¦ like I said I wouldnāt be surprised because the reasons you listed are very trueā¦
Certainly not against, so I guess that would put me on the for side of the binary argument. To me it's just two human beings who fell in love and that's that.
Whoever uses ethnicity as a measuring stick for whether or not someone would make a good partner, needs help in my opinion. To each his own, I wish them the best.
Nobody can stop this, Interracial sex and relationship as old as humanity. Look at European: half neanderthal and half modern human. Look at the 500 year history of native American and white people. Interracial.
Im for it because I like black girls and think it can lead to great things, improved race relations, a happy black woman or a uniracial perspective on love, but im against it when it does something like degrade a black girl or undermin a black mans masculinity or make a white person more racist or make a white girl more racist

I think when choosing a partner, moral/political values/beliefs will affect the relationship positively or negatively more than being a different race.
I am totally for it, the only ones who are against it are those men and women who want to hold the opposite gender of their own race hostage and dont wish to compete for their sexual attention.
My girlfriend is mixed race and I have also been attracted to girls of other races. I don't see why I should stick to my own race, people can be interesting and attractive regardless of their race.
