I live in the USA, and I wouldn't choose to live in New York. People who aren't from here idealize this country, yet it is far from ideal. Rather than choose a partner based on location, choose a partner based on the qualities you value in a relationship. What do you feel you can get from a New Yorker that you couldn't find elsewhere? Some difficulties are it would be expensive to move to another country, you would be leaving your family/friends behind, the culture is different here so some things like food differences and sense of humor may or may not be compatible, right now you would be forced to be vaccinated against covid 19 to fly here. (I guess you can take a trip on a ship if you wanted though.)
