If a friend doesn't show you undivided attention do you start to feel insecure?

You may be really attentibe to said friend maybe even treating them close to a partner. As you check in daily, talk about any and everything, consult them on decisions.
Perhaps you spend time doing a particular activity together...
But recently they are not as attentive and responsive to your communication, since they are busy? Life has taken over and are needed elsewhere? Maybe they respond infrequently to keep the momentum/communication going but they are still needed elsewhere.
Would this affect the way you feel about spending time with them?
