Am I the only one who feels that relationship are almost impossible to me?

You got to be extremely lucky.

Meeting a girl you like, who likes you back among all other guys, who’s not in a relationship and who wants one at the moment.

All of this at the right moment. As a teen (I’m 19), i’ve never had a relationship and it seems unreachable to me.

It has to feel incredible.

You are the only one that can help that situation.

In order to have friends or a girlfriend, you must be pro-active and find friends. They will not just pop up in your life without you being involved in the relation. Best is to join a club, take a hobby where you can meet people with similar interests.

Sharing the same interests with a person is always a good start to get to know that person better because you have common grounds.

But you have to work on yourself first. That would include shyness and social anxiety if you have any.

You can train your approach, your attitude and expression in front of a mirror for example. Think of what message you want to bring across and rehearse it until you are satisfied. The next step is the most difficult one and that is the one where you have to put in practice what you learned and rehearsed.

But without you wanting and acting upon it, nothing will ever happen. You have to get out of your comfort zone for it to happen. The most important is not to be afraid to fail. If you are rejected, get back onto your feet and try again.

There has to be a lot more context given to determine where it has gone wrong. Besides, you are young. I was 24 when I met the guy I was going to marry. So, that was 24 years (technically) of waiting to find the right one.

By the way, to answer on your earlier question about a restaurant in Santorini, I had to ask my mother because last time I went, she organized the trip.

One of the better places to eat is the Parea Tavern. It is not cheap but that is where you find the locals more than the tourists. Try to go in the evening after the loads of tourists have left the island. The restaurant is located a few miles west of Fira (Thira) and there are much less tourists there because all those cruse ship people stay mostly for the day have left.

@SueShe Thank you so much for the suggestion. I have written this down and he is looking through the menu (which looks amazing). I have spied a couple of seafood dishes. However, the Mix Sea Food for 2 persons has our name written all over it.

@SueShe We definitely will. We are spending five nights. We have booked a lovely room that overlooks the ocean. It has a private pool in the room. That will be a first for me.

We are planning out some things to do/see for those days we are there. Then, we shall move on to the next destination that has not been determined yet. I have looked into the suggestions you gave me and we are trying to figure out the logical next spot to stop for a few days.

Here is the problem. All this is making me extremely excited and anxious to go and we still have over a year. 😞

@SueShe OH MY! I cannot thank you enough for this. It is brilliant! I am glancing through the destinations and it categorizes them to what you want to see. This is amazing.

I see they have broken down into some things that we will be interested in like archeological and world heritage destinations. Also, I see there are traditional settlement areas that would be unique.

I am glad that you find something to look forward to. Greece is truly an amazing place. If you decide to go to Athens, then I can recommend the hotel Grande Bretagne. It is not cheap (either) but it is centrally located right across from the parliament building and the hotel itself is also an architectural beauty. It has been totally renovated a few years ago.

Athens is on the list as a must see. I have written down the hotel name so that we can make the appropriate reservations as we plan out the rest of our stops. No worries on the price. Nothing about this has been or will be cheap.

Of course, that is okay with us as you have only one honeymoon. At least that should be the idea anyhow.

You don't have to stay at the Grande Bretagne Hotel but you can have a look inside. There are a number of nice boutique hotels in the area. I stayed once at the NEW Hotel close to Syntagma Square (where the Grande Bretagne is located). The hall is quite special with all old furniture they took apart when they renovated the building.

I have been taking a look online. Seems this area is a good place to stay as far as being central to a lot of things. Within a short distance I see the national garden (something I would enjoy a lot), the acropolis and national archeology museum (something both of us would love).

Great suggestions and I will take a look at both hotels and availability. I see there are a lot of nice ones in that area.

The Syntagma Square is really the center of town and from there, it is an easy 10 minutes stroll to Plaka, the tourist area with all the little narrow streets and boutiques where the sell gold and silver jewelry, very typical for Greece with motives that were inspired by the Minoan civilization. At practically every street corner you can find ruins of old Athens.

Athens has also a good subway system and you can go to the Port of Piraeus. There are a number of good fish restaurants in this area.
