Would you be mad if your partner didn't tell you they got hurt?

They just try to heal up and keep it to themselves, never tell you what happened or even that anything happened.

If you found out they were hiding something like that from you, would you be mad?

Not mad but I want my wife to be able to share that with me freely so maybe I'd try to change my approach and make her feel more at ease.

My wife is a little bit like this with little things like bruises or when she catches a cold or sometimes her feet hurt because she has bunions and has to wear high heels for her office job (I hate that requirement and don't see how heels are supposed to help someone edit and publish books). I think she knows that I am concerned a lot about her so she sometimes hides those minor things from me.

So I try to change a bit so that I don't become overbearing, maybe throw in more humor, and make her comfortable. I don't get angry because I know she hides these things for my own sake. But I want her to be able to share these things with me comfortably.

Before when we started dating I interfered maybe a little too much. Like I told her boss (in a very friendly way, but I still told him) that people working there shouldn't be required to wear high heels. It doesn't do anything. So maybe that trained her to keep some of these things from me but I try not to interfere so much these days.

Also, she's stubborn like me when it comes to doctors (she grew up with elder brothers and is kind of a woman with an unusually "masculine" type of ego). If she gets a prescription for antibiotics and painkillers, she'll take the antibiotics but not the painkillers, for example. So I usually have to persuade her to take some of the painkillers if I notice she seems to be in pain a bit. That's a thing I love about her though; she's one of those "it's no big deal," types of women even when it might be a bit. She's reluctant to receive help. It's both a good point and a bad point.

I wouldn’t be mad but just disappointed because he didn’t share it with me and decided to hide it instead.
