Oh, yeah.

Had a massive fucking crush on an old project manager of mine. She was exactly the type to make me weak in the knees: white hair, competent, smart as a whip, adorable smile, big hearty laugh, staunch feminist, so on and so on.

Of course unrequited. I was an employee, she is straight and married.

It took a while for me to calm down, but I managed to hide it well, I think. I learned a lot from her in a professional setting, too.

I just had to vent sometimes to friends about how amazing I thought she was on occasion.

I get limerence so many times. And other people don't change there minds don't fool one self into that. If they don't like you they just simply don't and won't. There is no change of heart magical stuff that will just happen.
You've just gotta let it hurt and move on.
