I tried to date a woman like that. Invited her and her best friend over for drinks and she over indulged without telling us she was on antidepressants.

Not only did this ruin what was shaping up to be a memorable evening, but I had to carry this chick home to her mother and explain the situation akwardly in the wee hours of the night.

As it turns out she was also a lesbian with a crush on her straight friend and did it on purpose to ruin our fun. That she was abused was kind of tangential to her just being cray cray.

It was her excuse when we asked her about it later.

In any case, it's put me off of dating people with unresolved trauma.

No, I’m a SA victim myself but I’ve been with guys who were physically and emotionally abused as kids and oh boy it’s always a lot to deal with. Good things is I already know what triggers them, and they were willing to heal from past traumas. I myself is in the process of healing but I don’t want my SO to be walking on eggshells or go overboard with the empathy, I just want them to treat me like a normal person and not a victim but more so a survivor lol
