+1 yAfter observing so many online relationships I can say this that online relationships can not be successful...
The thing is, with online dating you can find a person who is more compatible with you.
You can find a partner.. but the question is will it last pr turn it a more committed relationship? There was a research I'm which they found that 30 percent Americand have dater online.. from those 40 percent only 11 percent were able to have a committed relationship or be married...
Personally, I have many friends who dated online and they did find some good partners but in all of those cases they broke up by 10 month of their relationship
The main reason I think is that there isn't enough honesty in a online relationships011 Reply- +1 y
Sorry about the typo

No need to be sorry I just want to see different perspectives.

Thanks for understanding...

There isn't enough honesty because either of the people can say whatever they want?
- +1 y
In the photos you send or words you say or how you act and maybe sometimes about your background... just because we think that maybe they won't like this or that...
- +1 y
I see, but the more you talk with a person online you can still figure out whether they are being truthful or not.
- +1 y
So you think that knowing someone better can lead to successful relationship?
Do you think that a relationship is successful without physical intimacy? - +1 y
Unless you can meet that person in real life you can not be successful in a relationship...
So I would say online relationships between two people who live in same states or same country can be successful... - +1 y
I get what you mean. Yes the physical intimacy is absent in an online relationship but I think you can really express your feelings through it. It's not a standard relationship it's something different which still has a lot to offer.
- +1 y
Can you elaborate what can it offer?
- +1 y
Not even if they lived in the same country. Here is the thing: in an online relationship, our mind ommits many things that in the natural, it would perceive. But been online relationships, essentially anti natural, our mind creates an imaginary space for the non existance stimulus (smell, touch, taste) in that virtual interaction.

Nevermets? I was in one for 3 years. It ended 5 years ago. I did tons of MyTakes about it. All I can say is that the old school is the best school, in comparison to online dating and relationships.
Online everything is too.. Deceiving. You never get to truly know that person and you put a lot at risk if you ever get to end the distance. Just like there are successful stories around online couples, there are others that resemble thriller movies.
I was in college, she was in college. Both of us were jobless and the 3 years agreement, naturally ended.🤷01 Reply
+1 yI think I'm very old school on this topic because I think that's total BS. I did meet my now husband on a dating app but we never had an online relationship.

1.7K opinions shared on Relationships topic. When a relationship is online, people see and hear what they want to see and hear or what they fear seeing and hearing. This is generally very different from reality, leading to disappointment. Not only that, there are a lot of scammers online, so you have no guaranty you're talking with the person you think you're talking with. You can expand your dating pool by going online, but keeping it online or long-distance won't create more than what you build in your own head.

@caring__1 So most of the times people just create images of the other person without actually knowing if it's real or not. Is that what you are saying?
- +1 y
Just to able to trust their words I guess.
+1 ymy first ex-girlfriend and we separated because i was not strong
, we are very far Ireland (me) she russian. I also think it's like talking to a computer and not being able to touch her hands or look at each other directly. I have promised myself that I will no longer look for a partner online00 ReplyI guess we should invent a word that defines having online conversations with someone, cause they are surely not a relationship. They are just that, conversations. If its someone you knew before in the real world, and then the person leaves, and its just for some months or even a couple of years, you might call it a relationship, but videoconferencing with someone you can't feel or touch is just another thing.
