Which would you to rather if u had to choose..., if ur partner cheated on you would you rather it be a emotional or physical affair?

I. Would prefer a physical affair because that's all it is a physical attraction there's no emotion involved no possibility of falling in love. iv struggled with sex addiction almost my hole adult life and iv stepped out on my husband of 13 years but have been together my hole adult life which is 18 years and it was strictly physical no feelings involved but when he did it to me it was emotional and it was devastating.

This isn't the case with me see physical as physical but emotional connection can cause more heart ache and unnecessary drama

If I was in a relation and had to face this dilemma, then I would chose for the emotional cheating.

The reason is that while emotional cheating like watching pornography or body manipulations against my will are relatively harmless compared to physical cheating.

Physical cheating does bring a number of other, much more serious problems. The first and most important one is the fact that the the cheater will most likely bring a number of STD/STI into the relation and therefore the risk of infection is a real danger to the health and potentially to the life of the victim of such physical cheating.

Guys are usually the opposite. We aren't really threatened by "Emotional cheating."
We see that as some lonely guy listening to her problems before we get to have sex with her. In a way he's just an emotional sponge for her, free therapy.
Physical cheating is a real problem to us.

Research has been done on this exact situation. Consistently, women are more aggregated by emotional affairs by men. Consistently, men are more aggregated by physical affairs by their women.

This is also why men are so concerned/repulsed by women with high body counts.

Well, my wife has a "work husband" that is basically her boyfriend. Sometimes they go away together on holiday together. They've been together for several years and are physical. For some reason, I've never seen such things as a deal breaker in a relationship.
