Why shouldn't I take revenge on a cheater?

Long story short, an ex cheated on me a few years ago. Messaged me a few months back, rubbed it in again. Originally I had left her alone and went my own way. But yeah, these days I'm thinking of revenge. I study Cyber Security and can hack most systems and do things digitally (and I'm guessing you know how far I can destroy someone with that) so yeah. Why shouldn't I take revenge on a cheater? It is not like they don't deserve it.

No idea about you but I dislike the idea of giving someone who hurt me that much of emotional power over me. I prefer to get rid of people. Not let them live rent free in my head.

And there's always a risk of getting caught.

Precisely. I hate that too. So I can crush them of all that power and make them not worth thinking about anymore. Precisely my reason for revenge. (And no, there is no chance for that here, they'll need to bring in Russians for even a remote possibility and t yeah, that's not happening over something over cheating lol)

That "chance" is nil. I don't see why it is stupid. I'll feel good from it and she will get what she deserves. Then I can move on. Win win.

Getting hit and wanting to hit back isn't petty. It is what's normal and just. And yes, she did me injustice. I need justice before I can move on. That's also fair. It is far from stupid. I don't see how it is.
