Is cheating out of revenge worse than the original cheater?

Since everything was clearly planned with the purpose of revenge (the other person doesn't even know it was just revenge; you don't even find them too attractive either), of hurting them back, of them knowing the pain you went through is that worse?

During the revenge, you didn't really feel guilt but rage. It's not until after it happened but you actually feel guilt for your own self, your own image you destroyed, you as a person but not really for the original cheater.

No, they both suck. Cheating for any reason sucks, it doesn't matter how petty or unpetty the reason is. If you don't want the relationship anymore, end it and then go sleep with other people.

You're saying that it is the others person cause and effect sequence.
The problem with that is, you can still opt in to control yourself even though it is tough. Tough due to the appearance of things often creating a corresponding state in the mind. That's why you have to first control you mind from the inside.

Yeah that's the principle of cause and effect. That's why the saying, "treat others how you wish to be treated" exist. "Don't let them bring you down to their level" These sayings have a deep deep wisdom in them. The only say to not be subject to outer influences, is to control you mind from the inside. It's the only way. Or you can use something to help you do that. Like a distraction. When I say control your mind I mean you emotions.

I'd tell the person who went through this not to let the action define them. We all do bad things but that doesn't make us bad. Humans are complicated. A situation like that causes very strong emotions and one has to be well trained to respond instead of react.

He destroyed me and my whole world. I would've never done anything out of malice nor rage if he wouldn't have hurt me so badly.
