Guys, will you renew relationship with a girl that cheated on you once?

Guys: your girlfriend cheated on you and you broke up. Now she comes back to you , asking you to renew the relationship and promises never again to cheat. Assuming you are not seeing anyone right now, will you renew the relationship? After all you knew her once and liked her. A mistake can be forgiven. What if you were wrong? Surely everyone deserves another chance. How do you know that the next girl you see will not cheat on you?

Trust is very important in a relationship. When that trust is shattered, we'll never see blind trust again. That doesn't mean there can't be a quality relationship. It just means the person cheated on will probably be more observant and not take things at face value.

If she contacts me and says she wants to rekindle the relationship, I'm unlikely to consider this option, as it appears to be all about her. If, on the other hand, she contacts me and tells me what she learned from the experience and changes she has made as a result of the acquired knowledge, I'd be more likely to consider the option. I'd be looking for her to initiate a conversation about any voids that existed prior to the cheating, including ideas of how to prevent those voids in the future. It would be important for me to see she has put forth a legitimate effort to understand her past choices and how they have impacted me. Just apologizing and saying she doesn't understand why she did what she did won't cut it. I would need to see signs she has done some deep soul searching. It's not about beating herself up, but taking time to learn and grow.

3 of my ex's have made attempts to contact me some months or years after we'd broken up, one of them repeatedly. Two of them, including the "repeated" one, did not end on good terms due to their disloyalty, and neither of them will ever be spoken to again by me.

I can forgive many things, but disloyalty is not one of them. Once someone is disloyal to me, they no longer live in my world. I don't care who is dying, I don't care how much money they want to give me, or anything else. They are dead to me, forever, and they're well aware of that consequence from the start. Some of my friends think I'm brutal about it, and I tell them "you're goddamned right I'm brutal about it."
