When men cheat on their girlfriend, do they develop feelings for the other women?

Just like how men can compartmentalize their past traumatic experiences (such as rape or physical abuse) they can also do same when it comes to loving one woman. Sex and love are like oil and water. Often found floating on top of one another but never mixing. Men do not equate love with sex. In fact men are comfortable loving one woman and having sex with others.

Cheating is bad no matter if it is a woman or man though.

My boyfriend says he respects my decision to save sex for marriage and he plans to marry me next yeqr. The thing is, he doesn't hold the same view on abstinence and he mentions how he longs for sex. Is he likely cheating on me right now? He is in hawaii on vacation

I can't say for sure but I don't think so. I'd rather a Virgin as a wife than a girl that sleeps around.

I ask because I read that people who aren't virgins are more likely to look for sex outside of marriage, like my boyfriend. My boyfriend seems to be vocal about wanting sex and might possibly not value virginity as much as me and you

I think you are right. I don't pick women who are virgins just because they are virgins. But the only women I've met who are serious about having kids are religious and virgins.

I mean I want a wife or girlfriend that is compatible with me mainly. Virginity would be a plus. I want someone who takes family seriously and If I can't find one I'll just get a surrogate and raise the kid on my own even though I don't like that idea.

I agree. I think virgins are more likely to appreciate a partner who practices abstinence. My boyfriend stated how one of the reasons why he chose me was because I want to have kids someday, not because I was a virgin. My concern is that he is resenting the fact that I am holding back on sex and is looking out for women who will give what he wants.

Well when I say that I mean it. I want someone who is serious about kids not someone who wants kids just to take cute pictures on Instagram with them. I don't know what his intentions are but maybe you want to ask him what are his plans for your kids. Like is he going invest into private school, does he want them to go to church too, is he planing on going to church, if he's not going to church what are his plans etc. Just make sure he's on the same page as you. Me I want my kids to go to private I feel like it's important to invest in your kids education and a sacrifice I need to make.

depends on the kind of cheating.

most of the time a man is considered a cheater when he’s just taking new vagina that has been offered to him and at no point will that woman ever become something more than just a new hole to have fun with.

if a man cheats because he meet somebody that he finds interesting and starts to care about her than yes he will have feelings for that person.

He might want sex but respects her decision to save sex for marriage. My boyfriend is like that. He says he wants to marry me and respects my decision to save sex for marriage, but he still talks about sex a lot. I've seen him lust after other women

I do it for religious reasons, it's not logical because it is a faith practice. I doubt my boyfriend is faithful to me because he doesn't get sex from me and doesn't seem to hold the same view on abstinence. He says he plans to marry me next year but I don't know if his unfaithfulness will follow us into our marriage
