Do guys love the girl they cheat with?

In this circumstance, the guy has been in a relationship for a little over a year, but he meets me, committed for almost a year until I caught him. It's not classified as a side chick because I didn't know, he'd never asked for sex, would be seen with me day/night, I met his family a REAL relationship. I confront him on why he'd cheat on both of us and he denies everything, says we never been together and that's his girlfriend, not me... even though he's said I was, even proposed to me, and every time I tried to leave due to feeling like he "changed" he does everything to keep me telling me he would tell me what's wrong with him soon (he promised). Not to mention he's said he loved me religiously. It went from ill see you a few days ago (trying to keep me in his life) to I never was with you and is taking up for the "original" girlfriend. Even went as far as calling me a hoe and I meant nothing despite switching his story and telling my friends he was wrong (not facing me). I'm sure the girl will stay with him.. they always do and he just will win.

but I'm trying to understand why'd he denied me. We did everything together, when he was down I was there for him, and vice versa we were each other's peace. I didn't lash out I just told the girl and showed her my proof.. can somebody help me understand, I felt it was real between us but why would a man do that?

1st if he loved you, he would never deny you
2nd normaly they don't love girl they cheat with, they might have "feelings" or are missing "passion" of new relationship in their old relationship but that's not love

So everything that was done and said in our relationship was a lie because I wasn’t the original? He denied to me but confronted, he said he made a mistake and was wrong…so he actually loves the girl he’s cheating on?

But honestly I don't think he loves either

Because I personally wouldn't even be able to think of cheating until I stop loving the girl I'm with (never did it anyway)

But regardless if he loves you or not, if he cheated, especially for that long, YOU should run, because even if he leaves his current girl, he'll do the same to you

Yea I don’t understand cheaters you can just be single and date around. I can’t believe I almost got married, now I’m the villian.

And yea I don’t want him I just want to know from a guys view why you’d do this and if I meant nothing fr, I’m sure there’s other girls.. it’s his lose I know I loved unconditionally

And it sucks, but there are guys like that

And that is completely my opinion as well, if you want to date around, just go single, but I guess they want relative safety of "main relationship" and then add a bit of spice on a side, but definitely disgusting

I was speaking in general. Honestly I’m not sure why specifically he did what he did or who he really is in love with. If you ask me it sounds like he has no idea either.
