Yeah. Criminals with more than bricks for brains with modus operandi that includes home invasions should attempt to case a neighborhood. Who do you think looks juicier? A single, childless woman or a married couple with two teenage boys?

There's always outlying factors, of course - geographical location, something akin to three pit bulls in the house and/or one of today's vilified weapons for defense handy - but ultimately she's more vulnerable.

Yes. Criminals definitely pay attention to whether a woman is alone or not. I’ve heard stories of human traffickers ‘marking’ homes where women live alone. A woman should never admit to a worker or any stranger that she’s by herself

Their more likely to be victims of bullying. Personally witnessed many times over.

Depends on where you live but generally speaking weak and vulnerable is what predators go after, and its not different for humans.
