Can I get married?

I've been dating this guy for almost 2 years, he asked me to marry him and I don't know what to do cuz I still feel like it's too early, I didn't think it was that serious yet. I'm turning 19 in a few months and I don't think my mom would just agree. I really want to be with him but am not sure if I want to marry him. I'm scared that if I say no he'll leave or feel really hurt or something.

If you’re not ready to get married, then you’re just not and that’s ok. There’s genuinely no reason to rush into marriage at any age, but at 18, you’ve really got your whole life ahead of you and who knows, he may not even be the man you end up wanting to be with forever. So go at your own pace. If he leaves then he is not the one for you, and someone who isn’t respecting your wishes is certainly not a loss.

I think that’s for the best. To be honest if I were in your shoes I’d be wondering why I’m even hesitating to say yes. Personally I feel like if I can’t, then there’s a reason for that and I should figure out the cause. Marriage is a huge commitment and hard to get out of, so don’t delve in just because he put the offer on the table.

My words of wisdom. It's better to get married young as a woman when you are still young and are still atractive. Not saying you should get married when you hit 18 but around mid 20s. When you reach your 30s and 40s obviously you aren't going to be looking as good as you did in your 20s and guys aren't going to make you their first option for a wife. At that age men are looking for younger girls to marry rather than a 30 to 40 years old. Basically I'm saying is don't wait to long to settle or marry because then time will pass you and you'll struggle to get a husband and regret not getting married when you were younger. Again, not saying to marry at 18

People continue to make significant changes until adolescence is resolved. That tends to be about age 24 for women and 28 for men. He's not going to go back to the person he once was, and you have no idea what he'll be when his major growth is over. How can we make an educated decision about a lifelong commitment before we have the experience to even know ourselves or what would be an ideal partner for us? Would you accept a job offer without knowing what they expect of you or how much you'll get paid or any other benefits? You'd be accepting that job, if you accept the proposal. I'm not saying it can't work, but the more you know, the more the odds will be in your favor.

You do not need your mother's nor anyone's approval. At age 18+ you're an adult and it's only your answer that matters to him.
If I were you, I would accept it and postpone the wedding. You can still be engaged for 2-3 years. You don't have to get married right away.

If you say you love him but can't marry him, it's still going to crush him. Think about it. Would any woman want to be with a man that says ''I love you'' ''You're the love of my life'' but he won't propose, nor right? It wouldn't make any sense.

CelineBV is right on point. I was one that woman. Till this day, my ex boyfriend will be forever on my ''black list as the most hated person ever''. When will I ever forgive? NEVER
He lied about everything (like the sick narcissist he is) and still had the nerve to pour salt into the injury by trying to get me to accept the ''lets just be friends'' deal and with a mocking tone of voice said ''You're not ready for marriage''.
Then why on earth you called me ''my love, my beautiful wife, my soulmate, my everything... why did you lie, why did you gave me false hope, false dreams, false goals. No seriously you marry this guy at 19 and you will always wonder what if you didn't and followed after your own dreams. If you want more out of life than just being married to a man and having babies then don't do it.

Your gut (and potentially your mum) is telling you that you and the relationship are both not ready.
