It goes BOTH ways. If one person is giving all and the other is getting little to even sometimes nothing in return then one person is going to end up miserable and in the end make the other miserable as well...

Those relationships are never good. You need give and take. You can't give everything to a woman (or for a woman a man) and just get nothing back out of it.

I could go into examples but it would take too long.

If a woman wants to be a stay at home mother/housewife. But she expects her man to work his ass off but also come home and cook for her, clean for her, and do the dishes... Give her a foot rub honey do this honey do that... That is NOT going to end well at all. Because what the fuck does he get out of it? Nothing wrong with that and nothing wrong with a man staying home for that matter if they agreed on that with each other and there is GIVE AND TAKE. She does all the housework he pretty much works his job and also takes care of the children both mothers and fathers are needed in that regard. But you get my point he should not have to lift a finger.

On the contrary if there is a woman with a guy who sits at home and plays video games all day long and she is working 2 jobs trying to make ends meet and doing the housework doing everything on her own... Again... What the fuck is she getting out of that? Nothing

Both. I know what my expectations are and of course I want them fulfilled within reasons. At the same time, I also do a lot of self reflection to see what I can bring into the table. I have a lot of personal insecurities and have a tendency to feel like I’m not good enough so I always really take into consideration and look into the things that I can offer in the relationship.
