I mean in the sense of being taken advantage of (like for free meals or gifts).
Money is a special type of "tool" in form of currency. It can form the wrong type of relationships or it can destroy an existing one (e. g. fighting too much over money) if not harnessed correctly.
I am no enemy of money nor do I think money is not important (it is very important indeed).
But how to find love and not be such a target?

1. Dont flash your income.
This means if you are a shopper, be careful not to flaunt expensive things in front of her like jewelry and fancy clothing or cars or your massive house etc. Until after you go out a few times.

2. Dont give specifics about your job.
Until youve grown confortable and have gone on a few dates, its best to keep your cash flow private. If she asks what you do, just keep it general. I work in medicine rather than 'im a doctor' or I work in tech or I work in law or beauty etc. You dont have to flash that you're a business owner or make solid income until you get to know her.

3. Focus on personality and an emotional connection.
If she's into you, she won't inquire about how much you make or obsess over appearances. When people are only after physical things, thats all theyll credit you for and advertise. They won't compliment the effort you put in for them. And not be able to describe what they like about your personality. Theyll obssess over muscles and money and vice versa for men. If a nice petite body is all you flaunt over, it can seem superficial.

Bottomline. In order to attract real relationships, you have to put physical things aside. All the cutesy appearance and money talk has to be placed behind you until you get to know each other deeply. A few months is long enough usually.

See if she has her own dreams and goals and if you can integrate or get her lined up with some sort of profession that relates to your field or region, like I know women who married their business partners cause they had mutual interests and goals. If she has something to do and does not need you, you know she is with you for selfless reasons.

I'm not poor, in fact, I make it pretty good. But I've developed a strategy that works against thirsty for money people in general. ALWAYS PRETEND YOU'RE BROKE. Serious... money hungry chicks will eff off and give rejection from the start. You're broke ass bro dudes will not hit you up for a loan they'll never pay back... because you're fucking broke!

This is actually a super simple thing to avoid in life, my dude. You avoid women trying to use you for money, by avoiding leading with your money. Don't dote on her with gifts. Don't take her on fancy vacations and lavish dinners. Buy the inexpensive (but great quality) wines.

A woman who only wants you for your money (MOST LIKELY) isn't going to have patience for men who don't spend lavishly.

After that, it's a simple matter of paying attention to what she talks about and how she behaves.
