No , and  it should never be normalized . It  displays a lack of honesty, respect, and trustworthiness , which should never be promoted as any healthy society's morality and/or character. If you lived  in cultures with these sorely lacking,  you would know  decline, degradation, and collapse are their path's destination , unless they correct their course. So, respect yourself, protect your community, let her know her violations are unacceptable, and somehow penalize her properly. If she does no relent… Well, you can do better. (Each of you may not like what you both become when trust is lost, and restraints are tightened, and she retaliates. It will only downhill from here, if my elder-sister's collapsed marriage. In their case, my sister reported out of needless-guilt when her then-boss just suddenly grabbed her and kissed her without her consent. Accusations of chronic adultery behind his back followed… and they are separate today.) If there is no trust, the relationship is as good as dead. If she's accused of infidelity, even admits it, and shamelessly keeps degrading the trust, spare each other (esp. "yourself" if you maintain your end of the agreement) the headache & heartache.

I am really really sorry this happened to you. But, honestly don't you for a second start thinking this is "normal" or anything you should put up with.

All women are narcissistic masochists. We hate it when things are going well, especially if they continue to go well for long periods of time. We know down deep that we are fucked-up and not worthy of anything that is truly good. So when things are going well in a relationship, we eventually sabotage it. We just can’t help ourselves in this regard.

Everyone has their own perception of what’s normal and what’s not, so don’t go off of what a bunch of us strangers believe. Like if the lot of us said it’s normal, would that automatically make it ok for you? Or if we say it’s not, would you agree or try and justify her indiscretion? I say act on the response that feels most appropriate for you.
