My boyfriend didn't plan anything for my birthday until the very last minute; meaning we didn't do jack shit except get lunch and walk around the city looking for things to do.
Yet his birthday isn't for another month and a half and he has already went out and booked a boat and an airBnB for that weekend.
As soon as he told me this, I told him that he is incredibly selfish. Every year on my birthday we dont do much of anything at all or do something I dont want to do because all my plans end up falling through and he never plans anything for me. Yet whenever it's his birthday we end up going out and doing something big and he ends up picking out every single gift he wants me to give him. He says it may seem like he's selfish but he just "doesn't know what to do" or "doesn't know what to get me" on my birthday and says I need to give him more ideas. The man knows exactly what I like.
