Whats a good excuse to call my boyfriend?

He has no phone and uses his parents phone (seperated) and since summer started (around 2 weeks) we haven't talked. I want to call him but when i try his mom sends excuses like "he is mad at fortnite" and dumb stuff like that. I really want to talk to him and I miss him but I don't want to seem possessive by calling him every other day for no apparent reason. (and please give me real excuses, not break up or don't make excuses"

Just hang out or talk. At least with my s/o, I appreciate if they want to talk a lot. The more the better I love talking with them. So in my opinion its not possessive you just need to find out what your partner likes.

Play fortnite with him. Then you both can be mad at fortnite and talk in party chat about how microtransactions in games are bullshit and how you both should play something else instead.
