Why would you even want a person who doesn't want you?

The primary reason people are even picky to begin with, is to ensure compatibility, which is only important so that the person does not want to leave when you are being yourself.

If this person doesn't want you, he literally can't be a good match regardless of his other traits, so you shouldn't be putting him on a compatibility pedistal, he does not have the value you place on him, not for you anyway, and therfor is not worth thinking about, let alone pining for.
