Girls, is men's biggest weakness their inability to express emotions?

Question was inspired by my English exam.

Well different men have different weakness. It isn't limited to expressing emotions. Honestly you men should know better, right? I don't know much about males out of my dad, cousins and male best friends.

The quesion is about what you think, as a girl. Not how it's really like.

Ah I see. So from what I think weakness of most men I know about is, they hide their feelings. Not saying they are unable to express their emotions, they do it really beautifully (they express the positive part like love and protectiveness beautifully and bury the dark part). They try to fight their own darkness without letting anyone know. I hate this part and consider this as their weakness. They are afraid of telling about their problems to others and try dealing it by their own. However this is their strength too as this shows they are strong enough to deal with their problems. This is completely based on all the men I know. The opinion may vary depending upon the person.

Men are emotional. Ever heard of anger? That's a emotion men love to show lol. But yes like what we think of as typical sad emotions men struggle with and I wish they did show that side more often instead of hiding it.

It's not a weakness, it's a flaw and most often they had no control over whether or not they even learned to regulate (manage) their emotions.

To me, a man who can't express emotion is an indicator of one of two things:
1. They're immature, and haven't learned to emotionally regulate as I would expect of an adult.
2. They're clinically depressed or otherwise struggle with a mental illness, and either cannot or choses not to manage it.

In both cases - no matter the gender - it makes them undesirable to me.

Being able to grasp, understand, communicate, and process emotion is a must have trait for me.

It's taken a lot of effort and years for me to learn to regulate emotion. I didn't grow up with parents who understood or had a healthy relationship with emotions (or each other).

I'm not about to entertain someone who hasn't likewise learned to do the same. I don't have time to wait for them to grow up.

No. Men don't have an inability to express their emotions. Did a woman write that exam queston? Men's brains think differently physiologically than women's and men react different than women. That's like asking if women's biggest weakness is their inability to use logic.

No, it's their defensiveness. Any criticism is an attack on their totality as a person, any critique on a certain behavior or action is an attack on all men.
