if a guy shows any emotion at all besides anger he's weak and wrong for having emotions. Say his mom dies he's not allowed by society to show any emotion at all. if he's dying of cancer he can't show any emotion at all. If his wife got killed he can't show any emotion. Why do you hate men having emotions?

Bro, that is a stereotype that has snowballed over centuries. Sure, there are some women that prefer a tough minded guy with a savior complexion. But definitely not this girl, if my past does not define my future, then I won’t judge others that way. That is a small minded view of the bigger picture. It’s harmful any time someone is vulnerable with another, and that person betrays them. Perhaps that temptation to close your heart is always there; to just throw the towel in and give up on people in general. The thing is, we are social animals for a reason. If that is not to let each other cry about certain things or talk or whatever. What is the point of life? We cannot figure everything out at once, our lives will always be a slow process.

I think it depends on what type of father a woman grew up with, which will determine how men may and may not act in her mind. I was raised by a hardcore father - men don't cry. Swallow your f*ing tears and act like a man type of mindset. When I cried, he didn't say anything. He just found and walked away.

So, going into relationships, that screwed me a bit. That is what I thought a man should act like. When an ex of mine cried at the end of Game of Thrones, I was a little freaked out. "I get why I'm crying, but why are you crying?" And when I compare that with my friend who was raised by a gentle father, she ended up marrying a gentle man whom she doesn't care when he cries with her at a sad movie. So I had to do a mindset change there. It's still weird, but I'm more open to accepting that now.

You are allowed to show emotions when the things you listed above happen to you. You're a human being not an emotionless robot. When women call a guy weak for showing his emotions is more about when a guy cries while having an argument or when he cries because something that is not that deep is upsetting him, things like that would put me off. But if someone in your family passes away I would never judge you for showing emotion I would actually be concerned if you didn't.

I don't think this is actually true. In my case, if a man cries because a close loved one has passed, I would empathize with him and comfort him to the best of my abilities.

If he cries over the tiniest of problems... maybe that would be an issue to me, but for the reasons you described... I would probably worry if a guy showed no emotions at all.
