Do you feel uncomfortable if/ when people like you too quickly without really knowing you?

Question

I’m not really thinking if it from the Angie they are fakers. Let’s assume for arguments sake, they believe they are really into you. So for me it’s just too arbitrary. I don't know why you like me so I would have no idea what it is you believe I am and I have no way of knowing if there’s anything at all substantial between us. Leaving out the sign if impulsivity of that person as well, my concern I think Stems from the ambiguity of the situation. I’m uncomfortable when I have no way of assessing an event I’m involved in including relations. Anyone else?

Remember I’m not asking g about “ their potential pathology” just in how it might make you personally feel uneasy in your own life.

Some people just attach quick and have a solid idea if who they are and just bc they like eoneobe readily it doesn’t mean they are bonkers plus it’s hypothetical it’d just be conjecture but what we all do know is how we personally feel about how stuff affects us—-so I’m not really asking about their supposed side of the equation but yours 😊

Sometimes.

If we have a mutual "click", no problems! I have several close friends who were made like this. We met and it felt like a strong friendship within minutes.

Often, I share a lot in common with these people and we have very complimentary personalities.

I have been on both sides of the equation of a one-sided version of this, though. Both suck, lol. But it typically passes without issue.

I've only had real problems with it when a desperate boy went obsessive-stalker over me and thought we were dating when we'd never ever hung out.

Fortunately whenever I've felt this, I've immediately toned down my approach when I realize the click isn't mutual. And over a short time, I get over the whole click part and I can have a normal relationship and let the other person progress it at their pace.

We're not always going to be everyone's best friend, neither will everyone be ours. But it's good to have friends, so unless someone's really not fitting well with me, I'll do my best to stay cordial.

No, considering I'M the one liking people too quickly without getting to know them AHAHA. I don't know, I just feel like why not share my feeling to the person, I don't want to have any regrets, and at least if they don't like me, I can just get rejected and then move on (and not think of any whatifs since I told them how I felt).

Yes, I feel uncomfortable if someone likes me too quickly about 100%, I don't mind little flirting this one woman was 2 years older than me and she was talking about her kids I was age 21 and battling mental illnesses and physical health things, I fought for a year to be eligible for disability cause I couldn't work, I was going from doctor to doctor trying to get help in the year 2018 I finally realized I needed to settle down and let one doctor give me help and stayed on mental health medications, I also found a wonderful doctor for my physical health in 2013 and I got the help I needed, back to the woman with the kids, she wanted me to play football with them, no way I had the energy to do it I had another frame of mind but yep so that didn't work.

No. If they like me on the get go, that’s a good thing. People usually judge me harshly most times before they even get to know me because of what others told them. I even read online someone wanted to beat me up coz their friend doesn’t like me and all the shit they were talking about me online was unbelievable. But in person, they act all nice and stuff. I was in my 20s when this happened. Now if people like me quickly upon just meeting me a few times or been with me, or just getting to know me, I feel good about that. I don’t have time or energy to spare on irrelevant people who just seek to bring me down coz they’re not happy with themselves

There's a difference between liking and trusting. If he and I are having a good time together or they just happened to look up to me, then I might feel a little uncomfortable at first, but it's no big deal since I know it's just my insecurities speaking.

If, however, someone starts opening their heart out after a short amount of time, then I might find it strange. I still wouldn't think less of them, since we've all been insecure and seeking comfort. I'm not going to be an asshole and say "you don't know me well enough for me to be nice to you man, sorry". That's just a douchy thing to do.

I think a lot of people assume that people like them more than they actually do. Like, I'm not saying that that person DISlikes them. And I'm not even saying that they don't LIKE them. But maybe it's just a moderate "Yeah! I think I kinda like that person! They're really cool! 🙂". As opposed to an extreme level of intense attraction like "OMG! THEY ARE SO F'ING WONDERFUL. I JUST HAVE TO HAVE THEM. I NEED THEM SO BAD! 😵🤤🥵"

the thing is as soon as you start liking someone, you create an expectation/demand for that person because you want to be liked by that person, and that person may not enjoy this demand coming out of nowhere... even if they actually like you too

I wouldn't say that. I mean people feel what they feel. I can't control that. But I am leery of anyone who wants to know everything about me too fast. It's been my experience that people who are that way are very unstable and bad with boundaries.

Yeah some people at my school are like that. I'll talk to them once or twice and they act like we are best friends and we've known each other for years. It's odd just feels like they are really fake

Very uncomfortable. A salesman is nice, and I wouldn't trust them as far as I could spit. And every time a girl was extra nice to the point of seducing me, I'd find out she has a man. Nice people suck... in various ways.

Yes and it’s usually a red flag and a sign of being controlling by trying to pin someone down into a relationship. They are usually also very insecure in general.
