Possessive boyfriend is huge turn off?

So my boyfriend said he gets hurt when other guys talk to me

He also said he doesn't like that i have male friends
He said he trust me but doesn't trust other men they will hit on me

A random guy spoke to me and complimented me to which he said i should have never replied to him if he was a stranger i should say i am not interested talking to u i said it will be rude to say such a thing to which he said i get hurt if you talk to stranger

Now i am feeling super weird i don't understand how to fix this issue he says he is scared that other men try to talk to me

Do you guys really think my boyfriend trust me?
because i feel he doesn't trust me and he is becoming so possessive even though he says he trust me his actions says otherwise

Firstly, this guy is using all means available to control you. Jealousy is the value you have assigned to it. Control is his intention.
Secondly, he is not really worried about you cheating…he trusts you as you ask/describe. He’s counting on it. What he does not know is if he can control you through guilt and shame by suggesting that how you behave is contrary to fidelity in relationships.

he told me i should tell him where i am going and with whom i am going and when will i get back home otherwise he start to have disturbing thoughts in my mind and it makes him sad that he doesn't know where i am

Yeah, that's definitely insecurity. I'm sorry he feels that way. I don't have experience with a scenario like that but I have heard of similar situations. Perhaps there are other girls who may have been in similar situations who managed to help their man develop more confidence. Obviously there's something about him you like, you're with him for a reason. So hopefully there's some way you can make him realize that or some way to boost his confidence. And maybe making a post asking how other girls in similar situations managed to do it might help.
