In simple terms. You don't! You just learn to deal with it better overtime. My father past away 20 years. ago. Most days I'm fine. Then other days (like what would have been my mother and father's 60th anniversary a week ago) it hits me like a sledgehammer and it's fresh like it just happened again. I find solace in the fact that my father isn't in pain anymore. I do believe in Heaven and if anyone has ever earned a place there he has. I know my father still loves me. Death and time cannot diminish that. And I have faith that will see eachother again. I'll pray for you.

    You just gotta keep busy.
If you don’t have work then clean if theirs nothing to clean then cook and if your not hungry then watch YouTube if that doesn’t work then watch p*rn and if that didn’t work then take a nap
Sure you’ll still have that sadness in the back of your head but your not giving it the time to take the front seat.

My other method is to just joke about it

This method may or may not work for you. It’s fine for someone people but not for everyone

You don’t. The healing process happens in it’s own time, naturally.

By doing things that will help them and you.

Look after their family and friends welfare, get involved with the good things they did. etc etc.

Throwing a pity party and/or making shitty online posts isn't helping you or them

You never really get over it. It just gets easier to deal with. I have a few really close friends who have died and sometimes if I go someplace where we went together I still feel like crying.

over time , usually they are in bad shape and you know that is terrible. I still am not over little Chico's death , but I know he was about blind and was slowing down.

You accept that it is a sad event among plenty of things you can be grateful in your life.

Give yourself time to grieve and don't put a time frame on it.

Time. Grief hurts like hell but subsides over time. There is no shortcut.
