Forced to break up while we’re still so in love?

Hi, my boyfriend was supposed to come fly out to see me this weekend. However, his joint custody agreement says that he has to watch his kids on the weekends… he gets into some trouble for this so has to cancel. Since I’m in college, I’m only free to see him on weekends but that’s the days for his kids. So we talked on the phone this morning and he says relationship will not work bc there’s no work around to being able to see each other and I deserve something less complicated. We both cry and say we love each other.

something in me wants to fight for our relationship but I know it will make this harder for him. I just loved him so much. So so so much and I know nobody will compare. Should I? Or should I just leave it be? Should I try to fly out to see him one last time this weekend?
What can we do… we still plan to keep in touch but I just want to be able to date and kiss him.

On all truth I would rather break up with a man and not have to deal with his baby mama all the time because they broke up for a reason. And maybe you don't know the real reason why she left him or whatever had happened between them.

I would walk away when I still can because you say your in college and since you seem like your age is young between 18- 24 years on your profile.

What I am trying to say Is that your heart will be hurting and that is normal for everyone in any relationship; yet just be careful and be safe while trying to find someone who will respect you for you not just for your body or mind. Because in the end it is you who matters.

Did you ever take into consideration that he never planned on coming and he uses the excuse of having to watch the children so that he doesn't have to come? Typically the arrangement is every other weekend. Not every weekend. Move on. You don't want to raise somebody else's kids. It's nothing but a pain in the ass dealing with his ex.

Nah basically on the phone call he told me it’d be the last weekend he could make it bc he got in trouble for it. He asked me if I still wanted a last weekend with him and in the heat of the moment I said no. The next day I changed my mind and thought yes bc I’m very much live in the moment and take advantage of memories kind of person. He said he’d already canceled the hotel and flight.

I honestly think there's something else going on here. I don't know what it is. He has the kids on the weekend, I understand it would have cramped your visit but why couldn't you two hang out with the kids there?
