To be fair. I initiated the joke. I said something about a him sneaking a girl out when I got home from work. Which, to my knowledge, didn’t happen. So he kept the joke going for a few minutes. Then I started to feel uncomfortable and paranoid. Like what if he did have a girl over and was covering it up by joking.

Here's a tip: if he is making jokes like that you might want to reel your jealousy, possessive, behavior. He is telling you to knock the shit off through joking.
