Would you want your friend to expose your SO if they found out your SO was cheating on you?

In my personal opinion, I literally don't understand how people can say to a friend, "don't get involved in another persons relationship issues" or if they have kids, "well by telling on the cheating, you ruined the kids lives because the mom/dad are now getting a divorce." To me, if you are dumb enough to first off, have an affair/cheat, and then go to some public place and make-out with or whatever with a person YOU KNOW is not your significant other, than expect potential consequences. No one ruins your relationship in that way, except you. If it were my friend, I'm loyal to my friends and the last thing you want to happen is for that cheater to be like, well, your friend saw me and said nothing because then what do you look like? If you don't want to get caught...don't cheat!

I had this argument with my friends who are in relationships.
I said if I found out either was cheating, I'd tell them to tell their SO or else I would and they gave me grief for that.
I would never cheat, but if my SO was cheating, I'd like my friends to tell me

Ahhh, yeah, like this, I don't get it. This is the example I give. I'm like, look me in the eye and tell me I'm wrong here...let's say I found out you were being cheated on and that person got an STI and then gave it to you in due course because I never said a word...are you really happy and content I never said anything? If you don't want to hear about your SO cheating, then is it really a healthy relationship, or are they in denial. What are friends for if they can't tell you the hard truths that no one else can.

I think I'd end a conversation like that with...I don't care if you believe me or not or if you ever investigate or confront them, but I've said my peace about it so don't say I don't look out for you as I would expect the same.

Yes, but they should have evidence first. There are only a two people that I would outright believe their claims of what they saw without any evidence.

This is very true. I'd never be like, I saw him walking with another girl because that's just dumb. Could have been in innocent co-worker, sibling, friend, even stranger. Instead, I'd be like here is the security footage I pulled from the store, here are the pictures I took of them making out.
