I think my boyfriend just lied. Should I ask him about it?

I think the first time my boyfriend lied is when we were dating. He told me his last relationship was 2 years ago. The second time is when we’re on the way to meet his family two weeks ago. I asked him if his past girlfriends have met his family, he said only one of them. But today, when we’re talking about past relationships, he told me his last relationship was a year ago and all his ex girlfriends have met his family. I wanted to clarify why what he said before doesn’t match up on what he sat today. Can I ask that to him? We just started our relationship and he’s my first boyfriend. I don’t want it to be like this because I’m being true and transparent to him.

It's not a lie if no issue or suspicious acts from him before now like him sneaking to go meet anyone, I too am a person who forgets these things, sometimes instead of me telling my girlfriend that I forgot so she won't feel sad or suspect me, i just try to tell as accurately as I could remember

I would suggest bringing it up, but in a very casual non-confrontational way. You don't want him to get defensive right from the start.

I would talk to him about it. If he has to tell lies like that imagine what other lies he will tell.

I appreciate your advice. Also, just to be clear the ex girlfriends have no issue for me. But the lies that he told me is the issue here.

Lies are an issue for me as well and that's why I feel it is best to talk to them because if you allow them to lie even just once the lies will continue and it will seriously mess with your head like it did me.

I've been lied to so much that in order for me to believe anything I need to see the evidence proving that person is telling the truth

He's acting very cagey, so mention all this too him and ask for the truth. He needs to know how you feel.

Dump him clear red flags he's giving by lying. Wouldn't put it past him to cheat as well. Someone like him wouldn't know how to be loyal. Break up with him before he breaks up with you
