I don't like my partners flirting with others. I did have an ex who actually got mad at me because I was putting our child before her. She didn't like that she used to be everything to me, but once we had a kid he was my new number one priority.

I thought she was crazy because of course our child should be both of our number one priority.

True, I had no problem with pets until I realized how much they prey on sympathetic humans. If one starts pampering and spoiling it then the pet will cling to that person and you will automatically be a second option for your partner because pets are helpless and cute. The other person will start taunting you and REPEATING the instructions to take care of the pet in their absence.

Yes, it is good to eliminate all impediments. Always asking and wondering where one is snip to is easy to eliminate as well. Pets are not a necessity in relationships. Being able to “go” in the moment is necessary for cohesion
