Monogamous couples love to throw around terms like "mine" and "yours" which is supposed to be sweet but it only reminds me of piling up toys when I was seven and fighting over dolls with my best friend. Point being, your partner is a human being. Nothing wrong with belonging to one another, but some people go overboard with "you can't opposite sex friends because they will all hit on you!" Or "you're mine and if I say you're not wearing that then you're not" Or "let me give you a hickey as to show everyone whose possession you are" Or "why didn't you tell your colleague I'm your boyfriend/girlfriend? I'll go tell them you're mine" like bro chill, we're not shooting a wattpad movie lmao.

I love it! Though there be a fine line between it been healthy or not. It's like they can be possessive but up to a point your comfortable with and have consented to. I would love getting a hickey from a girl to show I am her's. But wouldn't like her saying "You can't be friends with other girls."
Though at the same time I do find Yandere's hot... so if she wants go that crazy I would probably just enjoy it.

I would just find it lovely if I found someone who was obsessed with me much as I am them. Then because I am more sub I would prefer to her be domineering and possessive over me and takes care of me. It's soothing. Also been Manipulated can be hot just saying.

I love it when my partner tells me that they're mine not in the sense that they're my property or that I can control them in them trusting me enough to be able to say do whatever you want me knowing that I will treat them the right way and not in any way that would be displeasing to them!

Most people who think about attraction on a scale or as just a physical thing or really blind to a few of the most attractive things knowing somebody who has your best interests in mind for your future or for anything for that matter is one of the sexiest things that you can possibly find! Anyone who doesn't think down deep enough to catch this or these barely under the surface treasures miss out completely on them, because of their selfishness or shallow perspective, which is not really a big deal to me either way because you can lead a horse to water but you can't make them drink! it just simply match that energy with the same energy and move along!

Making them feel that way enables them to make you feel like the only person in the entire world which in turn, makes what seems like a negative into a positive most people who do try to possess their partners are doing it the wrong way and are trying to control a lot of insecurity and or jealousy!

I think that started from the tradition of purchasing a wife. Hebrews practiced that tradition and I believe that Christians continued the concept in scripture. A man's body belongs to his wife and likewise a woman's body belongs to her husband. From a loving point of view that is fine. But it can be abused. " I own you"' was never the idea in the first place. I like the oriental concept of the caged bird. Leave the cage door open. If the bird continues to return then they are truly yours. If not they were never your in the first place. I know of several common law marriages that lasted until death and produced many functional children with good educations and strong work ethics.

Positive ownership is a good thing. It increases safety and security in a relationship along with mutual exclusivity. And a feeling of being cherished by your loved one is a good thing. I like to know that I am hers and she is mine.

The negative expression of this would be being controlling and possessive of your partner which is obviously unhealthy.

I think both parties want to feel safe and secure in the warmth of their partners ownership but also feel they are free to be their own person. Without being cramped or incumbered by their partner.

I like when the guy I’m in a relationship with tells me that “I’m his”, “your mine” in sense of “I only want you and not to date anyone else or that I won’t look at anyone else because I’m dating you.” I want to know and feel that I am the only girl in the relationship, not anyone else- no secret girlfriends/mistress/side hoe etc. I want to be called “mine” in a sense of him saying and showing that he is loyal and that he won’t break my trust.
I don’t see this as what you termed this as “possession”. This doesn’t necessarily have to mean anything along the lines on controlling..

For us it's neither about control nor possession and more about simplicity of speech. We don't have to say "may I please introduce the person who is married to me?" but we can say my wife or my husband.

This would apply to me... (can't speak for every guy, of course.)
In most cases: "Oh, he-- no!" I mean, just the thought of that would be abhorent.

The closest, however, would be when we're in the bedroom. I mean, chances are that I can be dominant enough so that it'd appear to be the case.
