you didn't clarify more, but for me, if its your choice to stay alone for a while and just focus on yourself then I respect your choice. but if you completely lost hope in love and relationships then I do not support you point of view because the idea of giving up on the whole thing just because of one past relationship does not work for me. so, if you were unhappy with your past relationship and you feel like you will never find love or never be happy in a relationship then you should open up to new experiences and go through new things that you didn't experience in your past relationship
