His parents are against us?

So guys i have my boyfriend since 5 years we are serious about us. Few days back my boyfriend parents came to know about us and told him not to talk to me. But still we are talking, he is nervous and confused what to do about this relationship and i am holding it strong that something might happen in future we have 2 years. But he keeps on saying things like i am helpless but i love you. He triggers my anxiety i am confused what to do now.

by the way we both are 25 years old we are not teens
