My boyfriend isn't able to tell me about his worries and problem even though he wants to. What do I do?

Me and my boyfriend (both 20) are in a wonderful relationship. It's a long distance for now when he's off to college. Things aren't really that well there. I know the vague details. He opened up to me saying that he's not good there when I was angry at him as to why wasn't he talking to me since past few days. I immediately understood the situation ans asked him what happened. He knows I'm always there for him so he tried to tell me but can't. He misses me but from this distance when I don't even know what's going on, it's hard to do anything except my words. Please tell me what should I do. I hate to see him like this. He's my biggest support and seeing such a strong person like this is very hard.
